Trade Officer for Danish ICT/Telecom Companies on the US Market
The Consulate General of Denmark in New York is searching for an ICT Trade Officer for the ICT Sector Team in the USA.
The TDC assists Danish ICT/Telecom companies with entering into or expanding their activities on the US market. We assist by facilitating contacts to enterprises and consumers and in finding strategic partners.
Other key areas are innovation, marketing, distribution, sales, participation in fairs, arranging seminars etc. Moreover, we assist with setting up businesses from a virtual office to green field investment. The Danish ICT companies range from individual startups/Born Globals to large, established international companies.
As ICT Trade Officer you will be an integrated part of the New York team which covers other sectors. You will be heading the ICT team of five commercial officers based in Silicon Valley, Atlanta and New York. The US ICT team is an integrated part of the Trade Council of Denmark (TCD) in the USA.
The ICT Team leader must possess the following qualifications
• a minimum of 3-5 years of solution based technology sales.
• technical knowledge of various IT fields and jargon with a broad knowledge of the major IT sectors/players and how they interact
• should have an extensive network of connections in the IT field in the US – specifically on the East Coast with connections to several different IT sectors and companies which would allow access for Danish companies to present their product offering.
• must be dynamic, goal-oriented, methodical and good at establishing close customer relations ranging from proactive selling to more strategic projects.
• Must have good inter-personal skills and the ability to modify and adapt to different cultural nuances between team members and clients both internationally and domestically.
• Good project management experience with the ability to manage numerous projects with different goals and objectives.
Salary of approximately USD 90K. 6 weeks of vacation is included, medical plan is offered. Bonus pay potential if earning targets are met.
