DANISH AEROSPACE TOUR OF GEORGIA
The Trade Commission of Denmark Atlanta in conjunction with the Danish Airport Group is planning a Danish Aerospace Tour of Georgia November 15-18, 2009.
The State of Georgia is home to more than 150 companies employing more than 83,000 people in the aerospace and defence related manufacturing, R&D, design, engineering, electronics and software development. Georgia is also home to Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport; ranked number 1 in the world with more than 89 million passengers annually and recently voted the most efficient airport in North America. Altogether, Georgia alone has more than 108 commercial airports.
The Trade Commission of Denmark has secured commitments from Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Warner Robbins Air force base, the Federal Aviation Administration and the Atlanta International Airport for this tour. Key introductions will be made so that each participating company will know what next steps will be needed to facilitate their US expansion efforts and how to engage each organization. This tour will have three primary stops: starting in Atlanta at the Atlanta International Airport and the FAA and then will travel to Macon for meetings with Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Warner Robbins Air force base. The last stop will be in historic Savannah for a tour of the Gulfstream jet manufacturing facility.
Several Danish companies have already committed to this never before offered opportunity. Space is still available for the November event. Nathan Regan (natreg@um.dk) of the Trade Commission of Denmark Atlanta is organizing the event with Halldor Halldorsson (Halldor.halldorsson@dk-export.dk) of the Danish Airport group.
