THE ANNUAL GEORGIA EUROPEAN SUMMIT 2009

The Annual Georgia European Union Summit was held this past Thursday evening, November 5, 2009 in Macon Georgia. The annual event is organized by The Honourable Christopher Smith, Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Denmark and gathers select international leaders with various Georgian economic, business, and governmental leaders.

The Trade Commission of Denmark was represented by Senior Trade Specialist Charlotte Nytoft and Nathan Regan and interns Signe S. Jensen from Copenhagen Business School and Jonas L. Anderson from the University of Southern Denmark. This year’s key note speaker was Mr. Claes Hammar, Minister for Trade and Economic Affairs at the Swedish Embassy in Washington, DC. Representations from Germany, Hungary, France, UK, Lichtenstein, Greece among others were in attendance, as well as, representations from Georgia Department of Economic Development and various other state and Federal agencies.
